The UAW Community Action Program* (CAP) was created in the 1960's to develop and advance policies that improve social and economic conditions and enrich the quality of life for all people.
National CAP An integral part of National CAP's strategy is building coalitions with other unions and progressive groups to elect pro-working family candidates at the local, state, and national levels and to promote progressive legislation. National CAP also coordinates fundraising for UAW-V-CAP, our union's political action committee. Funded by voluntary contributions from tens of thousands of UAW members and their families, UAW-V-CAP enables us to pool our resources to support pro-working family candidates. |
