Employee Education & Training Assistance Plan
The Education & Training Assistance Plan (ETAP) encourages returning to school by pre-paying tuition and other compulsory fees to approved educational institutions. $4,600 is provided annually for approved credit or degree granting academic institutions. Up to $150 of the annual allocation can be utilized to purchase textbooks for college credit classes only. Up to $2,200 of the annual total may be utilized for approved noncredit, Personal, Development courses or activities. For more information regarding EDTP you can contact your respective plant education & training coordinator or logon at www.myuawford.com.

UAW-Ford Dependent Scholarship
There is a $1,500 UAW-Ford Scholarship Program available for dependent children of UAW-Ford workers pursuing post-secondary education or training. The scholarship program provides tuition assistance for school-aged dependent children under the age of 25.

When Do My Benefits Become Available?
You are eligible to participate in the UAW-Ford Tuition Assistance Plan (ETAP) upon your ninety-first (91st) day of seniority.

Skills Enrichment Program
The Skills Enrichment Centers are managed by Polaris Career Center. The centers offer a variety of academic and personal development assistance such as: computer literacy training, math enrichment, reading, GED and Adult Basic Literacy Education (ABLE) courses just to name a few. In addition, the SEP supports all in-plant education activity. All of the SEP centers are located within the plants Learning Centers. In addition, the SEP program is an open entry/open exit program focusing on the individual and adapts to the different interests, abilities, and work schedules of the participants.

Who's Eligible to Participate?
The SEP program provides the opportunity for active or retired UAW members and their spouses to continue their education and sharpen their skills. The center hours may vary per plant. If you would like more information, please call (216) 676-3572.

Education & Training Coordinators
Each plant has an Education & Training Coordinator (ETC). The ETC is responsible for coordinating the UAW-Ford Employee Tuition Assistance Program and assisting UAW represented employees in meeting their personal development, academic and educational needs. Each plant has a UAW-Ford Education Office located within the plants' Learning Centers.
